Kids Academy Learning Special Education, is a PreK- 5th privately owned and operated school that was established to meet the needs of individuals with special learning needs and specific learning disabilities. We believe it is our responsibility and obligation to strive to meet the educational needs of exceptional students. We recognize that each student must be developed as a whole person in all dimensions: Spiritual, Mental, Emotional, Physical and social. We accept the following concepts to be true based on our school. Because of individual learning differences, intervention for the Teaming disabled student will be provided through individualized educational therapy and small teacher-student ratio classes as needed. Specific deficits will be remediated through multi-sensory, cross-modal instruction over a variable period of time.

IDEA was previously known as the Education for All Handicapped Children Act (EHA) from 1975 to 1990. In 1990, the United States Congress reauthorized EHA and changed the title to IDEA.
