Kids Academy Learning Special Education, is a PreK- 5th privately owned and operated school that was established to meet the needs of individuals with special learning needs and specific learning disabilities. We believe it is our responsibility and obligation to strive to meet the educational needs of exceptional students. We recognize that each student must be developed as a whole person in all dimensions: Spiritual, Mental, Emotional, Physical and social. We accept the following concepts to be true based on our school. Because of individual learning differences, intervention for the Teaming disabled student will be provided through individualized educational therapy and small teacher-student ratio classes as needed. Specific deficits will be remediated through multi-sensory, cross-modal instruction over a variable period of time.

Our Philosophy

Every child deserves a right to receive adequate knowledge without any discrimination. Children with special needs are not an exception. We Provided an inclusive educational environment, we believe each student can learn and has unique contributions which enrich us. Is our conviction each student can achieve through involvement in a thoughtful and caring community of learners.

IDEA Statement

Individuals with Disabilities Education Act

Private School student with a disability does not have an individual right to receive some or all the special education and related services that the student would receive if enrolled in a public school under the individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). As amended.

The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is a piecen of American legislation that ensures students with a disability are provided with a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) that is tailored to their individual needs. IDEA was previously known as the Education for All Handicapped Children Act (EHA) from 1975 to 1990. In 1990, the United States Congress reauthorized EHA and changed the title to IDEA. [1] Overall, the goal of IDEA is to provide children with disabilities the same opportunity for education as those students who do not have a disability.
